Today, we watched one group’s cinematic interpretation of “Rime of the Ancient Mariner”, and then continued to work on the short presentations for the Victorian literature background.

We will present the information tomorrow, and then take the online quizzes.

Regarding the Lack of Recent Posts

Due to the construction of the Coleridge Projects, as well as the increasing activity in the school as the year winds down, I will be assuming the daily blogging activities for both classes.

Last week, after we presented the Coleridge projects, we read “Ode on a Grecian Urn” by Keats, and “She Walks in Beauty”, and “Childe Harold’s Pilgrimage” by Byron. For the Byron poems, we completed a chart regarding the speakers’ emtions, thoughts, and wishes, followed by a BCR.

Daily Blog for the Week of April 21, 2008

During this week, the class has been working on their “Rime of the Ancient Mariner” projects. Because students have been working in class, there have been no daily class bloggers.

“Rime of the Ancient Mariner” Projects

I have posted the “Rime of the Ancient Mariner” Projects on the handouts page. The due date for the essays and the projects will be Monday, April 28.

I know I’m a day late, and for that, I apologize.

Yesterday, we discussed the Wordsworth Style Presentation rubric for the assignment due Tuesday, April 8. Then, we discussed Wordsworth’s most difficult poem “Lines Composed a Few Miles Above Tintern Abbey” in detail.
